We are allowing you, the DZone audience and community members, a chance to vote in the first-ever DZone Audience Awards. You get to vote on your favorite DZone contributors and authors, in addition to your favorite DZone articles, IDE, programming language, and software framework. The DZone Audience Awards will be announced live as part of the 2020 DZone Award Show on Thursday, February 25th (see below for more details). In total, DZone will be giving out 16 awards, including several jury awards.

- Wednesday, February 3rd: Audience and community voting opens for the DZone Audience Awards. All nominees will get individual links they can share on social media, including digital certificates
- Thursday, February 18th: Audience voting ends at midnight
- Friday, February 19th (on or around this date): Finalists for the Audience voting will be announced. From several nominees, we will be down to the top 2.
- Thursday, February 25th: All winners will be presented live at the 2020 DZone Award Show
Prizes
- Main prizes will be announced during the live 2020 DZone Awards Show
- All DZone contributors nominated will get a nominated digital certificate
- All DZone contributor finalists will get a finalist digital certificate

About the 2020 DZone Award Show
The 2020 DZone Award Show is a virtual event that will take place live on Thursday, February 25th at 11:00 am EST and run until about 1:00 pm.
- How can I attend the live 2020 DZone Award Show? An RSVP page will be made available soon where you can register for this public event. Anyone can attend, including co-workers, family, friends, or even pets
- All winners will be presented live and have a chance to speak and accept their win
- Presenters of the awards will include DZone staff, DZone Core members, and your fellow DZone contributors
- The 2020 DZone Award Show will include special sections for looking back at DZone in 2020, hearing from members experiences in 2020, and a look ahead for what to expect in DZone in 2021
- Will the 2020 DZone Award Show be recorded if I can't attend live? Yes, we will have a recording of this that will be made available at a later date on our official YouTube channel.

- MVB of the Year: A jury of DZone staff will select
- Pioneer of the Year: A jury of DZone staff will select the most innovative DZone contributor
- Dev for Good: A jury of DZone staff will select a top volunteer whose effort gave back to the software and developer community
- Newcomer of the Year: A jury of DZone staff will select the top new DZone contributor in 2020; this award is gated to contributors that first started posting on DZone in 2020
